Water is the basic necessity of life; one can live without food for few days, but not without water. Human, animals, plants all need water for their survival. Even the United Nation considers that access of basic drinking water is the basic human right and an essential step towards improving living standards worldwide.
A normal human being is supposed to drink atleast 2 litres (or 8 glass) of water per day, lack of which can create problem and may cause dehydration. So we can say that the demand of clean drinking water is always high. Here it must also be understand that apart from drinking water, it has many other uses as well, like most of the people use water in cooking, bathing, washing of clothes, dishes and above all for drinking purpose. In the above mentioned usage of water, we can avoid all the things, but not drinking as it is the main source of our living. The unfortunate part is that even after so many years clean drinking water is still not available in abundance, and this is not only limited to only rural areas.
